See deets way below!

Greetings from North TX. I am actually writing this early, knowing that I will be on a plane this morning heading to a quick visit with my parents this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing them and basking in the Arizona sun. For those of you that don’t know, I spent many of my younger years in the Valley of the Sun…a.k.a. Phoenix. I went to 3 of the 4 years of high school out there and then went on to graduate from Arizona State University. After college I needed a change and decided to move to San Diego. At the time of the decision, I had no place to live and no job. EEK! Well, I didn’t end up on the street panhandling. I ended up answering an ad that stated that there was a room for rent in downtown San Diego with utilities included. Wanna know who my landlord was?…the one and only…Tony! We’ve now been married for 6 years! I ended up finding a job, too. I guess everything worked out.

EDIT: The trip is a NO GO! The stars have not aligned and we will not be going. I am BUMMED! Ellie is sniffly and sneezy, I am still not 100% so it just isn’t going to work out. Whhaaaa! (yep, I really did cry!)

Onto this week’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY
sfytt101709

Here’s my take on the sketch using Prism Papers and a Papertrey stamp…
sfytt1010

I had heard that Prism papers work like a dream in electronic die cutting machines. It’s true! The blade cuts through them like buttah!! As you can see, I continue to be addicted to my Spook Alley design card for the Slice!

A couple of detail shots of the glittery punched pieces I added…

Prism papers used: BR270-D Kraft, Y098-E Intense Yellow, OR041-E Intense Orange, V141-E Majestic Purple Dark, BK281-F Black, W031-D White Prismatic

Lorelie Kim, this month’s Designer of the Month, created this cutie patootie sample…

Did you see the lil’ “giveaway” thingamagig up there? I think that I ought to sweeten the pot this week by adding a little somethin’ somethin’ to win. Each participant will have a chance to win a seriously fun goodie bag from me. Just be sure to add your link of your card on this post by Friday 5pm EST for a chance to win. The contest is open to everyone! No restrictions on where you live, what stamps to use or anything like that.

I was so bummed, your blog wasn’t accessible on Thursday or Friday and we went out of town, so I had to miss the deadline. Still, I wanted to share my creation with you. I had fun playing, even if I missed the deadline. I always have fun playing.
