Sketch For You To Try…

Posted by Jen | Bella, blog hopping, cards, challenges, designer of the month | Saturday, July 11, 2009

I am going to attempt to make this super short and sweet. Ellie has had another asthmatic episode that put us in the ER for a few hours yesterday morning and then in the evening she had an allergic reaction to either medicine or something she ate and broke out in hives, her lips swelled up. Needless to say, not a fun day! Hopefully today will be better. Send us the good health vibes!

If you made here from Laurie’s blog, I hope that you are having fun on our lil’ bay blog hop for Charmaine. Don’t forget to hop over to Jackie’s blog when you are all done here :) Of course, I made my card from this week’s sketch…

Here’s my card for Charmaine, using Stamping Bella stamps {did I forget something? LOL!}…

Oh, Jen, I can so relate. My daughter (now 16) spent several nights and even a few week-long episodes in the hospital from the time she was one until about 10. I can so empathize with you and hope that your sweet Ellie is feeling better now. It is so hard on their little lungs, but it DOES get better!

Your card is so sweet! Looking forward to trying the sketch!

I hope Ellie is doing okay. I can sympathize as we went through this with my son. He’s 5 years old now but when he was 2-3 years old we were in the ER several times due to asthma. Finally, the last time, Cooks Children’s gave us a nebulizer to take home and we’ve been able to use that to help control his ashtma when it flairs up. My son had an allergic reaction to Prednisone, which his ped. had tried with him. He broke out in hives and was an emotional mess…pair that up with being 2 years old - not a pretty sight. :)

Oh no! Poor Ellie, how’s the little trooper doing? How are you?
Hoping that they’re able to find out what she reacted to, that’s always the scariest part for us, not being sure what threw things out of whack… poor Kiddo.

    ((((hugs))))

Hi Jen, I hope Ellie is feeling much better now. I didn’t get to this challenge until today (we just moved out of state at the beginning of June and I’m still getting caught up, which is why I’ve been absent the last couple of months). Here’s what I came up with. Thanks for another fabulous challenge! I am looking forward to participating more regularly now that things are getting in order.

Hi Jen, I hope Ellie is feeling better. I’m a little late on this one, I just finally had a chance to sit down this afternoon and make a card. We just moved from CA to CO at the beginning of June and I’m still getting caught up. Thank you for another great sketch and I’m looking forward to participating on a more regular basis now that things are not as hectic.
