More Verve Projects…
It’s a beautiful morning here in North Texas, but the middle of the night was a whole different story. I woke up to rain and hail and the wind whipping around the house with great fury. Fortunately, it was just a wicked storm and nothing greater came from it {like those fun things called tornadoes that threaten us each spring}.
Today, I have a few more Verve project to show you using the stamps that were just released last Friday. The first is using the Up, Up and Away set that features a bunch of hot air balloons, something that I think will be really “hot” or really “take off” as a trend. I paper pieced this balloon. All of the balloons in the set are able to be colored or paper pieced. Did you know that there is a Verve gallery just for this set {and each of their sets}? You can see it HERE.
The second project I have to show you uses one of Jody’s die cuts…the scalloped purse. This purse die cut is the perfect little gifty!! The flap can be pieced with a a circle cut from the 2 3/8″ circle Nestabilities. Can you see that I stamped a pattern on the purse? It’s the pattern that goes with the Up, Up and Away set. It’s hard to see in the pic, but I used VersaMark Dazzle to stamp the image; it gives it a little extra sparkle. I then embellished it with the tag using the sentiment from the Dare To Be You set, Primas, ribbon and rhinestones. To order die cuts, you can click HERE. These scallop purses are 6 for $3.00 {that’s what I call a DEAL!}
Finally, I have one more card for you. This one uses the sets Dad’s Day and Protector. Even though I do not have any military in my family, I thought that the camo paper would pair well with these sets. Hopefully it will get picked up for publication
Ok, that’s all folks. See ya tomorrow

Ohhhhh Jen these are all fabulous projects. The balloon is my favorite. I have to ask - how do you come up with what colors and patterned paper you are going to use? I love how you mix things up. I feel I’m always too structured in my approach to my designs. I’d love to learn from the craft master!
Hugs,
Tracy
