Sketch For You To Try…
Happy Saturday! Tony had yesterday off of work and we ran some errands and planted some flowers in the front yard. I still have a bunch more to plant, but it’s starting to look good. I love having lots of color in our planters and I really want to win “Yard of the Month.” Silly, I know, but I just want to win it once and I think that once all these flowers grow in that maybe…just, maybe I could get it! Once I get all done, I will be sure to post some pics.
Alright, down to BIZNESS! Here’s the sketch for this week…
Fun and funky, right? I had A LOT of fun with this one and I really hope that you will give it a shot! Here’s my sample…
I have to admit that it takes A LOT for me to pick up a stamp at a major retail chain. Maybe I sound like a bit of a stamp snob, and I probably am, but I already have so many stamps and I really like supporting smaller companies. However, when I saw this stamp at Hobby Lobby from Stampabilities I fell in love! He’s just so darn cute! I didn’t have any yellow flock, but I colored his tummy a darker yellow and then flocked over it in white. The flowers are cut from my Slice machine…sorry if I over doing it with these Slice flowers, but I LOVE ‘em!!
Here’s is this month’s Designer of the Month, Kimberly Crawford’s, clever sample. I love how she embossed the clear panels!

I don’t think I could have resisted that sweet chick either, he’s adorable! I love the mix of chicks and flowers and such sweet spring colors!

What a fun sketch, Jen! Loved working with this one. Can’t wait to see more! The little chick on your sample is the cutest, and I love the combo of oranges and yellows with the splash of green from the buttons and flourish. Love Kim’s interpretation of the sketch! The bold colors and patterns look great!

Your card is super cute…that chick stamp is adorable. I don’t often buy stamps at the stores either.
