Posted by Jen | PaperTrey, cards, challenges | Saturday, January 31, 2009

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ENTER FOR THE GINORMOUS BLOG TART GIVE AWAY!!! HERE are all the details. **WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED MONDAY!!** I had previously planned to announce the winner on the first, but I have something else up my sleeve for this Sunday, so you will have to be patient just one more day. :)

Happy Saturday everyone! As many of you read this I am marching up and down the high school stadium at {fitness} Boot Camp. I have been so bad this week!! Tomorrow starts a new week, a new month and a new eating plan…no bad food! I have indulged in a little of this and a little of that and it’s time to get back in gear. I have goals to reach by the end of the month!! Self-restraint is not a strong point of mine…just look at my studio!!

Anyways, I will stop boring you about how I am scared to get fat again and get onto this week’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY! Here is the sketch {I am so excited about this one!!}…

My sample…

Thank you so much to Kirsten DuBosque for being the Designer of the Month for January. Her creations have been amazing, and this one is no exception!…

If you play along, just link your card on this post. When you upload to SCS, use the keyword SFYTT so we can see them all in one place. There are no rules to these sketches, just use your creativity and HAVE FUN!

Next week I am going to start using Mr. Linky {assuming that I remember!} on my SFYTT posts so that we can see all the players front and center.

    Jen,
Love the sketch AND your sample! As for the fat thing — I totally empathize. I’ve had my weight off for over 5 years and here it is Jan. 31 and I am off to get weighed in this morning because January has been a real challenge and so I’ve procrastinated on the weigh in till the last day, cause I’m afraid to know what the scales is going to tell me. Good luck to both of us for a great February!

Love the sketch, as soon as I saw it on another site I thought I would use hearts instead of the circles, I come here and that’s what you did! Love your card, I guess great minds think alike! LOL!

Jen and Kirsten…your designs are amazing! Jen…I almost used this same set! I am so glad I didn’t! Mine would have paled in comparison to this beauty! I love the colors and the details! Kirsten…what a fun design! I love the stamps you used, the colors and details! Both are adorable!

This is a very interesting sketch, Jen, I’d like to try it. On the fitness thing, if all else fails, consider this quote by Benjamen Franklin: “If you really want to lose weight, there are only three things to give up: breakfast, lunch and dinner”. Good luck!!

You will notice that I screwed up the sketch today. That’s what I get for glancing at it while I’m packing and then not looking at it again until I’m almost finished. I hope you’ll forgive me for not following it exactly! Sorry!
