WooHoo…Or Should I Say “Moo Moo” It’s Saturday…
May 24th, 2008 by Jen
Speaking of Moo Moo {as in muumuu} I just have to laugh at this picture…

Yes, she’s pregnant, gorgeous and glowing. But, no matter how you embellish it…it’s still a muumuu Angie!! Just imagine if it had a couple of pockets! LOL!
Anyways…before I get to the Sketch For You To Try…onto a different tangent. I took a few pics of Ellie yesterday while she was watering plants and playing outside on her new little play set, which is affectionately called “Ellie’s Park.” Right now she is actually scared of it because she took a tumble {she’s ok!} and wants nothing to do with it. Hopefully that will be worked out in the next few weeks. She is also deathly afraid of the pool this year, too. I think I may have claw marks on my back from walking around in the shallow end with her on my hip. Again, hoping for a turnaround.

Then, I chopped off all her curls! Her hair was just getting out of control, so I gave her a little bob. You can kinda see it in this pic…

Isn’t she the cutest??
Ok, now for the sketch…
I’ve been telling you all week that it’s crazy, so what do you think?
You can see samples from Amy, Carole, Shannan and Susan on their blogs; just click on their names. Here’s my sample using My Favorite Things stamps…

The DP is from Imaginesce {yep, it’s the same stuff from a few recent posts…sorry!} and the top panel is Cuttlebugged.
May’s Guest Designer, Toni Whitnell, created this beauty.

I hope you will want to play along with us! I really do look forward to seeing everyone’s creations. I know that I am a little behind on the comments, but I want you to know that I do see them. I take a peek whenever I get a moment. As always, be sure to link your creation to this post and if you upload to SCS, please use the keyword SFYTT. Have a great long weekend. I’ll be back on Tuesday, as I am giving myself a little break and some time to catch up and get ahead on Monday.
OMGosh, LMBO at “Angie” in the muumuu! Thanks for the chuckle!
Interesting sketch! Printing it out to give it a try later!
Fantastic sketch Jen…looks fun! Oh isn’t Ellie a cutie pie?! I’m sure she will get over her fear of scary things
Love your card sample…it’s cute! Toni’s sample is wonderful with her fabulous images!
Have a GREAT long weekend…enjoy it!
Great…now my I have no time to stamp because I am SOOOOOO busy weekend just turned into I have to squeeze THIS sketch in weekend. LOVE IT!!! CAN’T WAIT TO PLAY!! I love your card!
I love the photo of Ellie watering the plants - what a little beauty! And too funny about Angelina! (although I wish I’d look that gorgeous in a muumuu - I’d just look moo moo!) LOVE this sketch - hope to play with it today!!
Actually, this is a caftan and if I was pregnant with twins I would wish to be half this beautiful! I think though, that I would have worn a darker color!
You know, my son did the same thing with the water. One year he was letting the waves at the ocean toss him all around and he would get up just laughing—the next year he wouldn’t even get in the pool—it was NUTS! He took some swimming lessons again last year and he seems to be better about it—he’s not been in the water yet this year, so we’ll see. I think he’ll be fine this year. She’s so darling! She’ll get over her fear—just keep her in there! (oh, and use Neosporin for the claw-marks!
)
Thanks for the wonderful sketch to start off the long weekend!

Hey Jen! This sketch was crazy fun!
I decided that I had to make a crazy card for it too! I used some really bright colors. Colors I don’t use very often. Yours and Toni’s card are terrific! Thanks so much!

Oh Jen she is PRECIOUS! Emi is almost 1.5 now and I love how she is becoming a “little girl” rather than a baby…they are just such sweeties….
your card is darling! I just got this set from MFT and it hasn’t even seen ink yet! EEEK!
Fabulous sketch Jen! I can’t wait to get to it! Both of the examples are fanatastic!
Love the pics of Ellie! Hope she gets over her fear of the playground and pool!
I understand having a child scared of the water. My daughter has always been so afraid of the water she wouldn’t even let the shower water touch her face. Something has clicked this year, though, and she’s a little water bug! She is 6. Know that there is hope for the future!
What sweet pictures!!
Loved this sketch and that mooovelous inspiration!
