Hooray For Saturday…

Posted by Jen | cards, challenges, designer of the month | Saturday, February 23, 2008

YAY!…It’s Saturday! Of course, that means that I have another SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY! This one is, as my mom would say, “a toughie.” I had this one in my sketch book for some time now, but have been reluctant to post it. I hope that you all will try to play along and have fun doing so. Feel free to make the circular panel an embellishment, like a big flower or whatever your heart desires. :)

My buds Carole, Shannan and Susan also have some samples to show you on their blogs. Just click on their names to be whisked away to their sites.

Here’s the sketch…

My sample, using Elzybells stamps…

I huuuuuuge THANK YOU to Bethany Paull for being February’s Guest Designer. Here is her sample. She says that she is not happy with it, but I think it is cute!

Mom Update:
Thank you all, again, for all your support. My mom has started to receive the cards from all of you and she has said that each and every one warm her heart. It means a lot to me and to her…THANK YOU!!
She should be coming home today. YAY!! Your continued good thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated!

Jen, that is GREAT news about your Mom! I hope that she continues on the road to good health.

Your sketch looks wonderful! Can’t wait to get it done today. I’ve missed doing it while on vacation.

Both your and Bethany’s cards are fabulous. Love the stamp and colours you chose for yours. I’ve always loved that stamp that Bethany used…so cute!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Adorable cards - both of them. Love the pretty in pink Elzy girl. We’ve been gone 10 days and I haven’t had any stamping things with me so I’m eager to get home!!! I have printed off your sketch and will try it in a couple days. Glad to hear about your Mom. I’m still praying for her. Hugs.

What a cute card, and a great sketch. You know I love pink!
Bethany’s card is cute too, we are always our own harshest critics!

I’ve got to clean up my stamp area (it is a total diaster) but I have this sketch on my MUST do list for the weekend.

Have a wonderful weekend, its so snowy here….you wimp, you’d FREEZE! :-)

OMG — that princess Elzybell card is one of the cutest Elzybell cards I’ve ever seen! Sooo sweet! And I love the way Bethany popped up Little Lady — very clever.

SUCH GREAT NEWS re: your mom! Hope she enjoys her happy mail (she should have one in there from me : ) ).

It is good to hear that our mom is doing better. I like to use the same word for though. It is just cuter.

I love both the cards that you posted. I am really liking those Ellzybells stamps. they are just so gosh darn cute. if I had a little girl of my own I would so snatch those up in a second. But I don’t think i would use them much right now even with my nieces.
