Acetate Box Tutorial…

Remember this box? Well, I finally have a diagram/tutorial for you.

***Please note…The attached diagram in NOT drawn to scale and should only be used as a reference for score lines. Click for larger image***

This box is very much like a 2-4-6-8 box, BUT with different dimensions and in 3 separate pieces.
Instructions:
Follow the diagram for the top of the box. The thin panels are scored half way down in the center to allow you to pinch the top of the box together. I adhered the very top of the box with Red-Liner tape and then attached the ribbon.
Follow the diagram for the bottom of the box. The lines that are marked with an “X” are lines that you will cut. Only cut to the scored line that runs across the piece of cardstock. The portion that is marked “xx” will be cut away. Fold and adhere base of box.
**Not shown on diagram** The center part of the box is created from acetate. It is 5″ tall and is scored in the same places as the top portion of the bottom part of the box. I met the end of the acetate sheet to the base of the box to make sure that it was extra stable and able to hold the candy I placed inside.
Use Red-Liner tape to adhere all pieces together.

Clear as mud? I am hoping that the diagram that I created will help with these instructions. If you still have questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

**ETA**
I don’t know how the diagram looks on your end, but when I click on it the numbers are initially not showing up very clear. If you click on the image again, it should zoom in a little.

Jen, Adorable box! My question is does the top set on like a normal lid on a box, or is it attached to the acetate and opened at the top where the ribbon is? Can’t wait to make! Thanks,
    Michelle :O)
