Happy Saturday and a Sketch For You To Try…
Aug 25th, 2007 by Jen
Hello and Happy Saturday!! It really feels like Sunday to me because Tony has Fridays off of school, so he was home all day yesterday. Today Ellie is going to her friend, Kaden’s, birthday party. Yesterday I made this card for the lil’ guy who gave Ellie her first “real” kiss last weekend. I figure it better be a nice card since they practically agreed to marriage with that kiss…LOL!!!
Have you ever had an idea, then it totally took another direction and you are so happy that it did? That’s what happened here…and with another card I did yesterday {I’ll post that one on Monday}. When I got done with this card {despite the fact that it boasts a few flaws}, I was {am} super happy the way that it came out!! Mostly because I took what I think are some of my weaknesses {patterned paper and using tags} and was able to not only able to use them, but I used them together! I thought that it would be cool to do the sketch based on this card because there is a whole plethora of possibilities of the places you can go with it. I am really looking forward to seeing what you come up with!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I’ll be back here on Monday showing you what I did with a little mini challenge between me and some other former SCS Dirty Girls!

Wow, Jen…what a cool card! I love the Jumbo eyelet!
This is a great card! I have that same striped paper and can’t figure out what to do with it. I always buy beautiful patterned paper and can never use it effectively! Glad to see you admit to the same challenge
Thanks for sharing the sketch, too
